About Thomas J. Dobleman, MD
Dr. Thomas J. Dobleman has specialized in head and neck cancer surgery and reconstructive surgery since 1983. A native of San Francisco Dr. Dobleman has practiced in Nebraska since 1980. He attended medical school at UCLA Medical center and completed his residency and fellowship from 1983-1990 at the University of Chicago Medical Center under one of the nation's foremost head and neck cancer and reconstructive surgeons. His fellowships include:
- Fellow-American College of Surgeons
- Fellow-American Academy of Otolaryngology
- Fellow-American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
- Fellow-American Society for Head and Neck Surgery
- Fellow-North American Skull Base Society
Dr. Dobleman is also a member of the Creighton University Medical School Faculty and has offered rotations for M4 Medical Students for the past 15 years. The rotation is an elective and is 4 weeks in length. He will be offering a Head and Neck Cancer Fellowship beginning in the fall of 2010 to Otolaryngologists General Surgeons or Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Dr. Dobleman is Director of Head and Neck Cancer Surgery at Creighton University Medical Center Assistant Clinical Professor at the Creighton School of Dentistry in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is the Medical Director of the Dobleman Head and Neck Cancer Institute.
Dr. Dobleman has received the following recognition for service to the community:
- Recipient of the Gerald T. Bergan Award
- Youth Volunteer of the Year for the American Cancer Society
- American Head and Neck Society Volunteer of the Year
- Named Surgeon of the Year by the Omaha Chapter of the Association of Operating Room Nurses
Dr. Dobleman is an avid golfer and enjoys spending time with his wife and six children. His hobbies also include traveling reading and fishing.
