About Mark Bertch, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS, FAAOMPT
Mark has been designated a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists upon completion of fellowship training in Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy at Regis University Denver Colorado.
He attended Creighton University for physical therapy training and completed undergraduate coursework at the University of Nebraska. He is re-certified by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy as well as the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
Mark currently serves on the Nebraska State Board of Health - a 17-member board appointed by the Governor with the consent of a majority of the members of the Legislature. In addition, this board advises the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services on public health issues.
Mark has presented on the national level in his areas of clinical interest. These include:
- Orthopaedic manual physical therapy
- Clinical reasoning/decision making
- Upper extremity injuries in the overhead athlete
He also assists with entry-level physical therapy instruction locally at Creighton University, and serves as a mentor to Fellows in Training (American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists).
