About Lisa Bader, OTR/L

Lisa Bader is an occupational therapist who has worked at the same hospital (CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center - Bergan Mercy) her entire career. She has worked in all aspects of acute care and has been in the NICU in one capacity or another over her entire career. For the past several years she works only in the NICU and with pediatric patients.

Lisa is passionate about therapy services in the NICU and the developmental outcomes of premature infants. She speaks at local and national conferences lectures at colleges writes journal articles and consults for developing NICU programs. She has written 2 manuals a Training Module for NICU Therapists in 2008 and The Ladder Approach in 2012 (revised in 2017). The Ladder Approach is an innovative and structured approach to the delivery of therapy services in the NICU. Lisa also invented and patented a head shaping and positioning device for premature infants. She happily answers any email questions regarding therapy and developmental care in the NICU and spends much of her time doing so.
