About John D. Hill, LIMHP

John Hill is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner. He has been working in the behavioral health field for more than 25 years. He has been supervisor of the CHI Health Employee Assistance Program (EAP) since 2016. 

John has worked with adolescents in psychiatric hospitals and in private practice (co-occurring mental health and substance abuse issues) with inmates in the Nebraska prison system and with adolescents and adults alike in the EAP setting.

He is trained in a variety of trauma-informed modalities and cognitive behavioral therapy. He has expertise in working with individuals experiencing anxiety depression and major mental illnesses along with issues related to self-worth and improving overall wellness. He has worked with the law enforcement community for a number of years and provides mobile crisis response for calls by law enforcement and homeless shelters. He provides critical incident stress debriefings and psychological first aid after traumatic situations have occurred. He is a firm believer in meeting with people during their most significant time of need.

Counselors with CHI Health Employee Assistance Program are only available for scheduling with CHI Health employees and employees whose organizations contract with CHI Health for EAP services.
