About Jill Swanson, MS, CCC-SLP

Jill Swanson is a Speech-Language Pathologist in the Outpatient Speech Therapy Division, Department of Rehabilitation at CHI Health Lakeside in the Wellness Center, Omaha, Nebraska.

Ms. Swanson received her Bachelor of Arts from Gustavus Adolphus College, and Master of Science degree from Idaho State University. She completed an internship at the VA medical center in Boise, Idaho and completed her clinical fellowship year at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho. She has worked in the acute care, acute rehab, sub-acute rehab, home health, and outpatient service delivery models of rehabilitation.

Areas of interest include oropharyngeal dysphagia, head and neck cancer, aphasia, stroke, traumatic brain injury, mild cognitive impairment, dementia, and voice. She is a member of the CHI Health Lakeside Voice and Swallowing Team and a member of American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Jill is certified in Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation for dysphagia treatment and is certified in Lee Silverman Voice Therapy for dysphonia associated with Parkinson’s Disease.
